How the directory works, what the listings mean, and what an RIA should still verify independently.
Answers and limitations
Using Best RIA Marketing
For the detailed editorial rules behind these answers, review the methodology.
What is Best RIA Marketing?
It is an independent editorial directory of marketing providers whose current public offerings are materially relevant to registered investment advisers or closely related financial-advisor businesses.
What kinds of providers can appear?
Agencies, software platforms, technology-enabled services, lead marketplaces, specialist products, and blended delivery models can qualify. Eligibility depends on RIA relevance and a supportable marketing service, not on a corporate label.
How are services assigned?
A controlled service is assigned only when reviewed official information shows that the provider materially delivers that work. Features, integrations, and theoretical capabilities are not enough by themselves.
What happens when I select several services?
The directory uses narrowing AND logic. A provider must offer every selected service to remain in the results. Text search also combines with the selected services using AND logic.
Which information does text search use?
Search is limited to public curated fields: names and aliases, summaries, service labels and synonyms, potential-fit statements, audience descriptions, and engagement summaries. Raw evidence and private notes are excluded.
Are the providers ranked or scored?
No. Ordinary results are alphabetical by canonical provider name. The directory does not use an undisclosed quality score, and the word “Best” in the site name is not a claim that every listing is right for every buyer.
Why do some future listings link directly to a provider?
An eligible provider may have enough public evidence for a useful card but not enough for a substantive six-section profile. In that case, the card links to the official website and no thin internal page is generated.
Do providers approve their profiles?
No. Profiles are written and approved through the directory’s editorial process. Providers may identify factual information that needs review, but they do not control service assignments, analysis, or publication decisions.
How often is provider information reviewed?
Ordinary active listings are reviewed at least annually. Rapidly changing, rebranded, acquired, newly launched, or materially AI-dependent offerings may receive a shorter cycle. Each public listing shows its review month.
Does inclusion mean a provider is endorsed?
No. Inclusion means the provider cleared the directory’s relevance and evidence standards. Best RIA Marketing does not claim to have purchased, tested, certified, or endorsed the offering.
Can providers pay for placement?
Featured and sponsorship controls are inactive. If a commercial placement is introduced later, it must be visibly labeled, separated from ordinary alphabetical results, and unable to change editorial facts or eligibility.
What should I verify before hiring a provider?
Confirm the people performing the work, scope, deliverables, timelines, responsibilities, measurement, compliance workflow, data and account ownership, integrations, pricing, contract terms, termination rights, and transition support.
